1: What is your OC’s human name and which country/city/state does it represent?
Bryan N. Jones representin' Dallas, Texas, yo.
2: What is that character’s personality and how does it correspond to the country you wish to roleplay?
Being one of the busiest places in Texas, Bryan is surprisingly laid-back. Recognized as being the third most popular city for business travel in America, he is also well-known for entertaining places such as the Dallas World Aquarium, the best college in the world, University of Texas at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, and Six Flags over Texas. In addition to these attractions, he has the most shopping centers AND restaurants per capita, so he really likes to go out. A lot. Luckily, having the wealthiest residents and most expensive housing in the state, he most certainly can afford his wild spending habits. Because of this, he tends to come off as rather snobby and extravagant. Though, despite being a typical rich asshat, he loves any type of art and has a surprisingly artistic side (yet somewhat crazy), apparent in places such as the Arts District and Deep Ellum.
He is in constant competition with his brother,Allen Dr. Jones. While Bryan wins in pretty much everything remotely athletic, Allen is definitely smarter. This, however, has encouraged the Dallasite to become an even better doctor than his brother. Determined and inspired, he went and founded the largest breast cancer organization in the world, and is still looking for a cure to this day. Doesn’t make him any less of a snobbish arse, though.
Secretly loves sports, especially football (Dallas Cowboys) and anime. (FUNimation, the company that dubs Hetalia, is located in Dallas. Plus five internets for me.)
3: What are their relationships with other countries?
Most of his relations depend on his father’s, though, because of his breast cancer organization, he has become acquainted with many nations; Italy, Germany, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan are just a few countries he’s familiar with. Also seems to know China and Japan. Many relations with American cities are strained because of JFK assassination.
4a: How much do you know about the history of your character? Give us a little backstory on him/her.
Originally a trading post for Native Americans, Bryan was officially founded in 1841 after a treaty was signed removing all native Americans from north Texas, therefore removing half of the trading post’s costumers and forcing him to become a permanent settlement. Even then, Bryan didn’t actually legally become a city until 1871 and mostly had to rely on farming to get by. Finally, in 1873, his key point of growth presented itself in the form of multiple rail lines being built through the city. Because of this, more and more people appeared at his house and new buildings and businesses popped up nearly daily. Then, in almost no time, Dallas became the center of markets shipping raw material south and east.
Finally becoming a self-sustaining, industrial city, the Dallas Zoo opened in 1888, becoming the first zoological garden in the state. Jumping to 1900, after some trouble with cotton prices, cotton became the main source of income, making Dallas the largest cotton market in the world and becoming a leader in manufacturing cotton gins.
Skipping even farther ahead to 1930, the Great Depression hit. Ironically, this was the time when construction was flourishing in Dallas. Even better, in the same year, oil was struck and the city became the center for the oil industry in Texas and Oklahoma. The Depression was finally felt in 1931, but Dallas quickly bounced back a few years later. Afterwards, Bryan lived a fairly successful life, becoming a center for high-technology manufacturing in 1958 and opening the Dallas Market Center, which quickly became the largest trade complex in the world. However, in 1963, tragedy struck when John F. Kennedy was killed in downtown Dallas. Naturally, many American cities accused Bryan of killing the president, even after he converted the Texas School Book Depository into a museum dedicated to the former president. Today, there isn’t as much animosity between him and the others, though some cities are still obviously bitter.
4b: What's their appearance? Please provide either a detailed description or a picture. Pictures are preferred if possible, but only one that is self-made.:
5’8” tall. Like most Texan cities, Bryan has black hair and dark skin due to the large amount of Mexican immigrants (legal and illegal) and African Americans, though he has green eyes. His hair is a little bit higher than shoulder length and is always neatly combed with bangs on the side that frame his face. Cause nothing says “douche” like side bangs.
4c: How old are they/What year are they(freshman, sophomore,etc)?
17/Fishy
5: How active do you think you can be?
I DON’T KNOW. BETWEEN MY BALLET AND YOGA CLASSES, I HAVE, LIKE, NO TIME TO MYSELF.
6: So you’re new here! How do you find your way around the campus, do you ask someone for directions or try to figure it out yourself?
Can’t I just pay someone to carry me around…?
7: You have several projects due! Do you get started working on them right away?
Start on them right away, of course. I love doing projects! /proceeds to make each project as extravagant and artistically pleasing as possible
8: Some girl/guy’s trying to hit on you! How do you react?
Hey baby, wanna model naked for me?
Hmmm… You’re pretty cute, I guess, but you look like a peasant. I mean, first of all, is that a stain on your front? Maybe you should find a new drycleaners, because they obviously aren’t working. While you’re at it, you should probably go buy some new shoes too, because those look like you bought them off a homeless pers- Hey where are you going?
9: Uh oh! You accidentally broke a very prized trophy that the school had won! What do you do?!
Pay for it, of course. I doubt it costs that much. /buys trophy off school instead and uses pieces for an art project
10: You see a student with a broken leg?! What do you do?
Pfft, this is nothing. I’m just a good a doctor as brother./makes it worse, freaks out, calls for Allen
11: A fight breaks out in the quad! How do you react?
Hmph. They’re acting like a bunch of lower-class idiots. This doesn’t concern me.
12: It’s PE time! Are you good with sports and athletics?
Hell yeah.
Dallas Cowboys. That is all.
13: A big test is coming up! Do you prepare or do you sack studying?
If it’s a science test, I’ll study for it. Any other subject...eh.
14: Someone is stalking you in the hallways! Who is it, and how do you react?
Ugh. Fort Worth, leave me alone! /is busy stalking Allen
15: What do you want to major and why?
Art. /hasamajorhardonforartifyouhaven'tnoticed
16: Any questions?
Where’s the nearest restaurant?
